I'm rooting for The Alabama Solution, Apocalypse in the Tropics, Come See Me in the Good Light, Orwell: 2+2=5, and The Perfect Neighbor.

I've yet to see Cover-Up, but I'm assuming it will be great because of the director (Citizen Four, All the Beauty and the Bloodshed)!

- The IDA Awards shortlist has picked 4/5 nominees for the Oscar every year since at least 2018... with the exception of 2023, where their eventual winner was the only film to be nominated at the Oscars.

Fun times ahead!

- The Critic's Choice Doc Awards have only picked the eventual Oscar Winner as their winner once in the past 7 years, but have nominated the winner 6/7 times!

- The SCAD Savannah Film Festival has shortlisted at least two nominees every year in their "Docs to Watch" list.

Today is one of my favorite days of the year; IDA Nominations come out!
