I couldn't help myself after finishing Wren's playthrough and made Sol, a tiefling ranger with ties to the Harpers. He's very close to his displacer beast, Calliope, and may or may not wind up kissing Gale. It's still early in his campaign to know for sure.

How it started versus how it ended for Wren and Gale. I managed to complete my goal of wrapping up act 3 over the weekend before patch 8 drops and breaks my saves. This game is amazing and I enjoyed every part of it.

I think Shart moving towards Selûne worship was what gave Wren the courage to embrace a new path for herself while attempting to reconcile her faith in Mystra with her love for Gale. Especially after Mystra commanded him to die for absolution.

Wren's best friend among the group is, surprisingly, Shadowheart. As a fellow cleric, Wren enjoys a good theological debate over the tenants of Sharran worship vs. Mystra and they both support each other during their respective crises of faith toward the end of act 2.

The hardest part of the holidays is when the vacation ends and I have to return to the office. It's my fourth day back, and I'm feeling like this

All my campaigns got eaten by error 302 on 1/1, but it gave me an excuse to redesign Lyonna, my big buff wood elf ranger with the mage breaker background. I have no idea who she's romancing yet, but I'm struggling with being mean to Gale. It could be a fun enemies to lovers setup, though.

My other Tav, Wren, is a very tactile tiefling, so she's physically affectionate with Gale and in the platonic sense with the rest of the party. Lots of cuddling, draping her tail over party members as they sit by the fire, holding hands as they walk, and, of course, hugging.

My cat, a long-haired cat of unknown breed but has tabby and calico fur patterns, sprawled on her heated bed. She has a gold-colored present bow balanced on her head (not actually stuck to her head), and she looks like she's questioning her life decisions.

Even my cat's getting into the festive mood.

Romancing Gale as a cleric of Mystra has been an interesting time.

Gale and Ven just wanted a fun time at the circus. They didn't ask for the trauma or threats of bodily harm!

I said I wasn't going to get into bg3. I was wrong. My Tav, Ven, is a port of an old d&d character, and they fell *hard* for the Wizard of Waterdeep. Props to repeat romance mod for some extra-sweet romance shots!

Pillars of Eternity, which I'm replaying right now, is an amazing game. And not just because my fire godlike can shove her head into a forge shaped like a dragon skull to relight it. But I was shocked that I could. And I did.

There's a strange joy in knowing that I only have three weeks left of work for the year. And it's been a weirdly good year, career-wise.

Coming to terms with my weekend not being nearly long nor restful enough, but at least I have stuff to do.
