This would *significantly* set these kids back from being able to enter the modern workforce, not to mention kneecap their online security/anti-scam education, and devastate a significant number of kids through social isolation. Especially at-risk kids. Cascading generational damage.

Have your used one of my publications, or digital projects like the Real Face of White Australia, in your teaching (since 2020)?

If so, I would love to hear how you've used my work and how students have responded – and see your unit / course outline, too!

β€˜No to war’: SΓ‘nchez doubles down after Trump threat to cut off trade with Spain PM says his country will not be complicit in growing conflict in Middle East β€˜simply out of fear of reprisals from someone’

Karoline Leavitt told the press that Spain has changed it's mind and will support Trump's war in Iran

Spain's response?

France dumps Zoom and Teams as Europe seeks digital autonomy from the US European governments are moving away from U.S. tech giants, opting for domestic or open-source alternatives.

Just caught up with this:

France is dumping Zoom and Teams. So are soldiers in Austria. And bureaucrats in Germany.

They are seeking digital sovereignty, autonomy from the American tech oligarchs.

IT IS NOT THE JOB OF A PUBLIC BROADCASTER IN A DEMOCRACY TO REPORT THE NEWS IN A WAY THE GOVERNMENT LIKES. IT IS ESPECIALLY NOT OKAY FOR MINISTERS AND POLITICALLY-APPOINTED BOARD MEMBERS TO DICATE INDIVIDUAL EDITORIAL DECISIONS. THIS SHOULD BE FUCKING OBVIOUS.

Covid hospitalisations climb as New Zealand enters new wave There’s been an increase in hospitalisations and in wastewater detections, and it’s expected to last another month or two.

There were 19 reported covid related deaths last week and a big uptick in hospitalizations. We're in a wave.

We haven't been hearing much about it, so I'm pleased to see this article on Stuff.

Accountability Commission hears shocking testimony about ICE in Illinois The commission, tasked by Gov. JB Pritzker to investigate alleged misconduct by federal agents amid the Trump administration’s β€˜Operation Midway Blitz’ campaign.

Despite the lies the President and his administration want to tell, you can see and hear what happened for yourself when ICE ran rogue in our state.

No one is above the law β€” the Illinois Accountability Commission will hold them responsible.

here is an even more laughable version - I asked Gemini to add legs for the pilot, showing out the bottom of the plane. It thought that it did a good job. It did not.

This Tech Company Turned Into a Resistance Icon Overnight. The Reality Is Much Darker. The A.I. firm behind Claude is far from an ethical company.

Anthropic's defiance of the Pentagon's A.I. orders was undeniably brave, a welcome contrast with Big Tech's general approach to the Trump admin. but the resistance folks shooting Claude to the top of the app charts need to understand that Anthropic is not very principled, and is not your friend:

News: Commanders across dozens of U.S. military bases told troops the war on Iran is part of "God's plan" so Trump can bring about "Armageddon"

News: so Trump can bring about "Armageddon." The Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) has been
"inundated" with complaints since the U.S. and Israel launched attacks on Iran over the weekend, receiving more than 110 complaints from U.S. military personnel stationed at dozens of sites across the Middle East.
Journalist Jonathan Larsen broke the story, sharing specific complaints made by troops. One such complaint made by a noncommissioned officer reported that their commander had
"urged us to tell our troops that this was 'all part of God's divine plan' and he specifically referenced numerous citations out of the Book of Revelation referring to Armageddon and the imminent return of Jesus Christ."
"He said that 'President Trump has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth," the NCO continued. "He had a big grin on his face when he said all of this which made his message seem even more crazy."

An opinion piece by Jerome Adams, former Surgeon General advocating against Casey Means' nomination.

He raises concerns about conflicts of interest.

A surgeon general is not a wellness influencer. One of many red flags.

Tesco walked away from talks to take on supermarket duopoly, documents show Aldi and Lidl also declined to engage, leaving the supermarket duopoly intact.

So Willis' RFI to sound out potential competition in the supermarket industry was as much of a flop as the much touted Investment Summit

NOBODY bothered to even meet with her or participate in the RFI

Tesco, Aldi (who operate across the ditch) and Lidl all said no🀣🀣

Well the Anglican Church didn't ~want~ to do this rebuild, they would have had a replacement building finished a long time ago, except Burdon and Anderton took them to court to save it and get it rebuilt. So who takes responsibility for that?

A home for granny, a headache for the homeowner The new rules cut a thin layer of red tape, but they're still complex, full of restrictions and just as expensive as always.

Chris Bishop stopped social housing new builds; made the homeless crisis worse; crashing the building sector; declared a war on nature, helping national party donors; and his 'granny flat' rules are a mess. www.rnz.co.nz/news/thedeta...

It's amazing that David Seymour doesn't talk about Luxon selling the airnz London landing slots.
It was a profitable route but selling 14 slots for peanuts has put Airnz back in reaching out further than asia.
