When I first bought UltraFractal 6, I thought that the UI and UX experience (pleonasm much?) was a straight downgrade from UF 5. I still think so several years later, but I've learned the hard way that the future sucks and I should just lower my standards.

The previous one was based on Geometric-style Memphis designs I found online, and this one tries to look more like the Bacteria-style stuff from the same era.

My previous attempt didn't have much in terms of actual fractal math going on, this one has some actual fractal math working in front stage!

There's not too terribly much to say about this fractal. I really enjoy the palette, and I like that I contrasted the sharp, string-like lines with the gentle blobs of colour.

This piece is made with the same method as the piece "Work Song" by Frederik Slijkerman. It's a twice-inverted Gaussian Integer with a Lake mapping to create the ripples.

When in doubt, pull out the orange and blue gradient. The low resolution is not a filter, but raw straight out of UltraFractal. Setting a root function to ceil and then adding a pixel mapping on top of it is what makes the blocky look the way it is.

Yeah, looking back at it, a majority of my art is some sort of reference to the music I'm fond of. It doesn't matter if it's a genre piece like this one, or visualising a lyric, it always comes back to music for me.
