Our group believes that no one in the United States should go hungry. Residents of Brown County shouldn't have to choose to pay for their medicine OR groceries.
To fill the gap, Brown County has a number of amazing community organizations working to reduce food insecurity.
Statewide, 1 in 7 Hoosiers (approximately 14.3%) struggle with hunger, and among children, that number rises to 1 in 5, according to Feeding America. 🍽️ Government programs that many depend on to survive are at risk under current government leadership in Indiana and the US.
