my true form. catlike, yet an obvious bastardization. bright green eyes with shaky, slitted pupils that pierce through all with their deep, deconstructive gaze. a grin that betrays knowledge and intelligence beyond the average house cat, yet screams of genuine psychosis as if to say "you can't help me! after all, with me here now, you can't even help yourself." every glance is another sign of danger, until it becomes an accepted fate. you are not safe, but that's fine. it will all be fine.

Part of the reason why I research ML nowadays is because I want to reclaim that philosophical aspect. I want to choke the hype created based on lies, I want to help educate people on it. But it does feel like a lost battle, how can you fight against Ultra-Giga-Big-Trillion-Dollar Corp?

Nowadays the whole concept of machine learning is tied to shitty practices, and a lack of responsibility by the people leading research. I was into AI because of its ties to philosophy, understanding what it means to "learn". It's all profit and benchmarks now.

CA7F00D was such a cool idea (I remember following it a while back on a different account), so to hear that the AI craze was one of the reasons behind why that died is sad. But I rly get it.
The LLM craze and explosion of AI hype is pretty upsetting. AI used to be cool, programming used to be cool.

As someone who graduated Computer Science and who studied philosophy, the LLM hype has always rubbed me the wrong way because I feel like it's a boom that cannot fulfill the promises it has set out to fulfill. So I wanted to make an article that summarized why, so I could link it if I get asked.

Sometimes I wish I had a teacher who could give me feedback and help me figure out what I should be focusing on to improve because there's so many resources online and so many different skills that I get a little lost 😵‍💫

Some days I don't feel happy with the things I've drawn I tried practicing anatomy today and some other stuff, but I'm not too happy with the results. But that's probably just part of the process and I need to let that feeling settle, I have to keep going through the low points and don't give up...

I like programming, but working on UI is such a big passion of mine... I end up not writing the things I wanted to write and focus too hard on how everything looks! I could work on UI forever, even if I'm painfully mediocre at it!
