The federal trial in the lawsuit against the Trump administration filed by AAUP, the Middle East Studies Association, and three local AAUP chapters, including NYU’s, took place in July.

A delegation of faculty from FSJP chapters nation-wide has returned from a 10-day trip to Palestine. The delegation started off with eight members, including four from NYU, but two were denied entry at the border by Israeli border officials.

We honor and salute the courage of our faculty—who, in their silence, spoke volumes about what it means to stand for free speech, justice, and shared humanity

This protest was a powerful act of defiance, standing in solidarity with students, such as Logan Rozos, whose voices are being suppressed by an administration that continues to punish anti-war, anti-genocide expression within its own community.

With mouths gagged, they stood on stage and made clear what words couldn’t: NYU’s policies are not just stifling dissent—they are actively complicit in silencing opposition to war and genocide in Gaza.

Yesterday, May 16, 2025, at Tisch graduation, the faculty of the NYU Game Center staged a silent but searing protest.
