I doubt he will manage that - but he could still be a consensus pick for PM even if not the largest party

Dutch politics is quite a rollercoaster these days. Only 20 months since last election &:
-NSC, which stormed from nowhere to become kingmakers last time, is now on track to win as little as 0.6% of the vote
-CDA, humiliated last time with 3% of the vote, may now end up providing the prime minister

Back in the 90s and 2000s we also had a lot of Americans over here in exile because their same sex partners couldn't get visas, but to have Americans coming here and asking for asylum really drills home how much my old country has changed for the worse.
