Last week, UK lobbying regulator closed investigation into ex Tory MP Ben Howlett
We offered Howlett money to work for a fake Chinese investor. He introduced us to a dozen Labour MPs
Regulator didn't even speak to us. Our system is broken

Obsessing over water supplies & worried that there's no captain on this ship. Nobody knows the true picture over who's using the critical resource, and the global picture is pretty dire. I've pulled my latest articles together to try to make sense of it watershedinvestigations.com/dry-taps-flo...

Only in the UK can we have documentary evidence of documents being leaked, no denial of the leak, but journalists still have to put "alleged" in the headline.
Libel law is broken.
On almost everything β fraud, polarisation, radicalisation, misinformation β evidence suggests that over 60s are in much more urgent need of online protection and education than teenagers.
But that issue gets zero political attention, and is a total non-starter. Nothing good will come of it.
I was asked to look at this post!
And while the story obviously has important context thatβs missing from the headline - which Iβll cover obvs π - whatβs more important is to question why this is being posted!
And what to ask yourself when you see something like thisβ¦

There are two very odd things about PPE Medpro that may affect the odds of the Government ever getting that Β£122m...
Thread:
Your correspondent says 'we should listen' when it comes to Oxford's perennial transport issues. I've been listening. I've listened to people say that children's safety doesn't matter, because drivers can't be expected to slow down. I've listened to people say that bus passengers don't matter, because drivers have more money. I've listened to people say that traffic jams don't matter, because cities will always be congested. I've listened to people say that collisions don't matter, because 'accidents will happen'. I've listened to people say that vehicle emissions don't matter, because climate science isn't real. And I've listened to people say that we mustn't reduce traffic, because that might inconvenience drivers. I've listened, and I'm still waiting to hear a single effective alternative to low traffic. Owen McKnight Oxford
I've had enough of listening. Time for action on low traffic.
