This fear is called the βActivity Trapβ. And sadly, it is more than a fear for many Disabled people. Earlier this year, our campaigner Mikey was on @goodmorningbritain.bsky.social alongside Shaun, who had vital social security support taken away for being physically active.

π¨NEW REPORTπ¨
The Impact of Universal Credit Bill on Disabled People's Access to Physical Activity
77% of people we polled use their LCWRA benefits to pay for physical activity - benefit cuts will have devastating public health impacts.
Full reportπ getyourselfactive.org/resource/uc-...
We are devastated to hear the Government's Universal Credit Bill has gone through. This will halve the UC health element for thousands of Disabled people, taking away Β£3,000 a year when they already cannot afford essentials.
Disabled lives are more than numbers on a spreadsheet.
Ahead of Wednesday's vote, we'll continue our campaigning to get the Government to #BinUCBill, which would cut the Universal Credit health element in half, from Β£416 to just over Β£200.
Disabled peoples' lives are not a cost-cutting exercise!
πDesigning the Future of Physical Activity Together

When we are given a voice in decision-making, everyone wins!

When services are genuinely co-produced, they work better, because co-produced solutions make the most of the shared expertise of the professionals and the people who have direct experience of using them.
