As a fellow alum of Multnomah who also had the brief privilege of teaching at Multnomah, this article by @carmenjoyimes.bsky.social resonates with me. I now work IT for a government agency and teach at my church as often as they'll let me. And I wouldn't trade my Bible education for anything.

As an American who graduated from a South African university, I am floored by how the South African academic system renumerates research through publication. Very cool setup I hadn't been exposed to before.
