In the playoff system we endured for years, Miami, Oregon and Ole Miss wouldn’t have been in even with their records. Of the four remaining teams, only Indiana would have been in the CFP. But you certainly would have had Georgia and tOSU and that’s probably be the final we’d have to endure—again.

As did Alabama and Texas Tech on Thursday. I guess they didn’t belong in the CPF either.

Alabama out. Georgia out. tOSU out. Amazing what happens when they let some other teams into the CFP.😏

Those of us living in Seattle will save our excitement for the day the NBA actually announces it is returning a franchise to the city. Others can parse how the question was asked and what Silver said. We’ve done that too many times to get excited about anything the NBA says.

Notice he says “domestic expansion.” I’m not convinced he’ll ever put a team in Seattle. Any expansion under Silver will be international.

No doubt we can—and should—do better, but we could have had a $20 million NIL and Rogers still would have left. He was looking to leave for ISU before the ink was dry on his WSU contract. You don’t continually text an AD at another school during your season if you’re committed to where you’re at.
