Maritime security is not only about infrastructure & technology. It is also about leadership & governance. Inclusive leadership leads to better risk awareness, stronger institutional cultures & more effective cooperation - locally and globally.🌍

The study visit of African women leaders & European counterparts concluded in Antwerp-Bruges, following high-level exchanges & port visits.⚓️

This initiative strengthened cooperation, capacity-building & women’s leadership for maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea.

Over 30 African women leaders & European counterparts, began a study visit to 🇧🇪 & 🇳🇱, launched by the EU-funded projects EnMAR & SCOPE Africa with NPWMP-WCA.

Such initiatives & the 🇪🇺 Coordinated Maritime Presences advance cooperation, capacity-building & #GenderEquality in #MaritimeSecurity.

Today, EU Cyber Ambassadors concluded their meeting with stakeholders - discussing how cyber diplomacy can contribute to shaping Europe’s digital future.

These talks will guide the next steps of EU cyber policy. 🚀

And this week, it meant launching our first Dialogue on Peace Mediation with Norway. 🤝

With the SWAIMS Project, the EU supports partners' ability to combat piracy, illegal trafficking & illegal fishing.

Supporting the Senegalese Navy with training and equipment is part of it. 🇸🇳

🌍 In fragile communities, climate shocks & armed conflict don’t wait to be addressed - they multiply.

The EU Delegation to the UN brought together experts from key international organisations to advance joint action.

Because when crises overlap, our responses must too.
