The Colombians aubsequently agreed to DJT’s terms to avoid the tariffs. Looking at their position, it was a stupid one to draw a line in the sand over. They had agreed to take back people who were in the USA without approval to be here, but didn’t want them returned on military flights.

I’ve removed my retirement funds from the Federal Thrift Savings Plan and put them into Vanguard and TIAA IRAs. I recommend that others over 59.5 or retired do this too. There’s no reason to keep your money where future distributions or withdrawals could be constrained by future Executive Orders.
