Battle of the weight loss jabs! π§ͺ
Wegovy (Novo Nordisk) and Zepbound (Eli Lilly) dominate the market, but which loses you more weight?
A large clinical trial reported results in a direct comparison and we have a winner!
Watch my brief summary of the trial here: youtu.be/g6p_yIOHWPw
CREATINE supplements for increased fitness? π§ͺ
A recent randomised controlled trial finds that creatine has NO effect on strength building when taken alongside resistance training.
Watch a very brief summary of the study here: youtu.be/3q-y92ZdKbU
NAD+ and aging! π§ͺ
Popular (and expensive!) 'longevity' supplement NAD+ has previously been shown to play a role in aging in mice.
A brand new paper finds that reduced NAD levels in mice does NOT lead to accelerated aging.

hi! Thank you very much for your interest.
Strawberries are rich in anti-oxidants and also contain quite a bit of Vitamin C. All of these components do indeed play a role in helping fight cancer cells.
However - as with Vitc - strawberries alone, will not be able to eradicate cancer.
Vitamin C vs Cancer:
A recent Cell paper finds evidence that Vitamin C helps the immune system recognize cancer cells. π§ͺ
I have put together a very brief video summary of their findings here: youtu.be/rwIRD0qp0gA
Well, there now is strong 'pre-clinical' evidence. As outlined in this publication.....

10.02.2025 14:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Are these LED facemasks that claim to rejuvenate your skin pseudoscience or legit?? π§ͺ
I have been wondering this for some time, so I reviewed the clinical evidence and summarised my findings here:

LED masks for skin rejuvenation. Do they work?
I am about to drop another scientific review video looking at the evidence behind LED phototherapy.
More on this soon..... #ledmasks #phototherapy
Believe it or not, I have never tried ChatGPT until today. This is the conversation I just had with him (her?).
I guess we don't have to be worried about machines taking over the world anytimeΒ soon...... π§ͺ
No! I am sorry to disappoint. The study finds that calcium -containing diary products all have a protective effect EXCEPT cheese and ice cream. I suspect this may have something to do with the fact that the 'bad' things in cheese and ice cream (i.e. fats) outweigh the 'good' things (i.e. Ca2+)
15.01.2025 14:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Should you drink more MILK to protect against colorectal cancer? I published a review of a very recent, comprehensive study on my YouTube channel! π§ͺ

"raw milk"? Wow. Interesting. I'll look into that.
04.12.2024 21:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yes. Regarding NAD we need bigger and longer human studies to be sure. There are actually not a lot of supplements put there, where there is strong scientific evidence that they work. Vitamin C is one example, and - surprisingly - ecdysteroids to build muscle. Got a video on that.
04.12.2024 21:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Good point! Thank you.
04.12.2024 21:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh yes. I had a stressful couple of days. Last Saturday I got an automated email from YouTube informing me that my channel broke the community guidelines and they are permanently shutting my account. No explanation, no warning. A couple days later: I am back up and running. No explanation!! Wtf??
04.12.2024 21:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Very interesting. Not heard about this. I will investigate!!
04.12.2024 21:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Look at that! Ivermectin is on my list of things to cover! Thanks for the feedback!
29.11.2024 13:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Absolutely agree! Thank you for the feedback!!
28.11.2024 22:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks again for the feedback. I definitely still need to become more 'polished' and Gen Z friendly.
I tried uploading some of my videos on TikTok, and the analytics there show that 90% of viewers stop watching within the first 5 seconds. (Not sure I can cut it all down to that time frame....)
