An excerpt of a fanfic centered around Jayce from Arcane. The excerpt is as follows: He could still feel the skin of his palms burning against the handle of his hammer. All glossy silver and neon pink and earthy green. Misshapen, hardened, eroded. The swirling blue orb thats nestled in the middle of its sternum rendered it weightless in Jayce’s grasp, resonating with the rune buried in his forearm and pulsing with its life through him. It thrummed and beat and trilled to match that of the leaden organ in his chest. Erratic. Desperate. Hysterical. The culmination of their work. Of Viktor’s sleepless nights. His overworked mind. Aching leg. Crumbling lungs. It was never supposed to lead to planting his feet firmly on the ground as he painstakingly carved a hole in Viktor’s chest. What he wouldn’t give to nestle himself in there instead.
