Every day I get closer and closer to becoming a forest hermit. Nature is harsh, but at least it's consistent and fair and does not give a shit about ~~beliefs~~ and ~~values~~.

I just remembered the time I was like 4 years old and my mom asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up, and I just said "Nothing." She was like "Oh, you just want to raise kids at home then?" and I said "Nope!" 😁

Also also me: works full time while watching my kid most of the week, and trying to keep a house sort of clean etc etc etc 🥲

Me: it feels like I'm not doing art anymore, this is bad, I should try to do something..

Four bee fairies gathered around a bee balm flower. One is mostly black and yellow with green iridescent streaks, one is the typical "honey bee" coloring with browns and oranges and yellows, and cute brown poofy hair. One is pinks and purples, laying on top of blueberry flowers. The final bee is holding a smaller bee balm. She has black and white striped "leggings" and blonde hair/floofs all over.

Bee Fairies! Because I'm ready for spring already 🌸 Done in watercolor, then arranged digitally. I'll post them individually later!

Kiddo is very slowly growing out of our rocking chair + twinkle twinkle little star nighttime singing, and it's ripping my heart apart by the individual fibers. I'm fine everything is fine.

Screw work, I just spent 2 hours today outside gardening and looking for bugs with my 2.5 yo! We found garter snakes, a beetle, tiny spiders, and an isopod 🌱🪲

I recently made a dried gouache palette to experiment with, and I love it?? It takes a bit of effort to get opacity, but I love using gouache like watercolors!
