Mass horror at the killings of Renee Good & Alex Pretti has DHSβs budget at stake.
And yet in the past week, agents left a blind refugee to die alone.
And lied about it.
They pretended to be police looking for a missing child, to detain a college kid.
And lied about it.
What does this tell you?
What does it tell voters, who have said unequivocally we want fighters, that you sit & silently witness your own humiliation? If you will not fight for yourselves, are we to believe you will for us?

The Project 2025 author is using millions of dollars in USAID money for his own security detail.
It is estimated that 762,000 people have *already died* as a result of Elon Musk and Russell Voughtβs obscene murder of USAID, including more than 500,000 children.
Vought is a mass murderer.
Kat Abughazaleh is implying here that subtext of criticism about her not being from the community is because of her being Palestinian-American/βnot born hereβ
Thereβs no doubt racism/sexism that does exist in this convo, but I will say the concern Iβve heard in #IL09 is very much not that π§΅

11.02.2026 00:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've been to some countries where people live under military rule or autocracy. And without fail, one of the questions I get when they ask about life in the U.S. is whether it's true that Americans just let homeless people die on the street.
09.02.2026 17:05 β π 4066 π 1307 π¬ 69 π 36Just a quick update from the Twin Cities. (Please forgive the unsolicited message). THINGS ARE NOT BETTER IN MINNEAPOLIS. The media is mostly moving on, Trump is focused on other stuff, BUT NOTHING HAS CHANGED ON THE GROUND. More than 2,000 DHS thugs continue to roam the streets, abducting people 24/7, assaulting legal observers with impunity, and routinely denying 1st, 4th, and 5th amendment rights. Drones and helicopters are overhead every day. Hundreds and hundreds of terrified families have not left their homes since mid-December ... relying on the community to bring them food and help with rent and other necessities. (Those people are NOT violent drug cartel sex offending murderers, as DHS would tell you. Most are legal residents or citizens.) If anything, things have just become more stressful and intractable (think trench warfare as a suitable metaphor): The resistance is better organized and numerous, but DHS has become more clever and better at disguise... and the county sheriff's office is increasingly supporting them . Do not let anyone tell you that Homans (the new person in charge of the occupation) is making anything better. Do not let anyone tell you that 700 ICE agents leaving the city has made much of a difference; the remaining force (again, ~2,000) is still larger than the entire city's police force (which is legally unable to do anything). Please call your congressional reps ... especially if there is any chance the administration might listen to them.
A desperate plea sent to me by a Minneapolis resident who's been on the front lines since the beginning of the ICE occupation:

The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call βsymbolic compliance.β
Thatβs when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

The officer who shot Alex worked for DHS for 8 years. The officer who shot Renee worked for DHS for over 10 years. Both are considered βhighly trained.β
The problem isnβt "training." DHS was built to violate our rights and has been empowered to act with impunity. We must MELT ICE and dismantle DHS.
