Two major nation-building projects from Newfoundland and Labrador have been listed as candidates for fast-tracking under the Building Canada Act.

Our province has a bright future, but we need to work hard for it. That’s what I’m working toward for the people of Newfoundland and Labrador.

As a new school year begins, I wish students every success in the months ahead. Thank you to all educators and school staff for your dedication and the positive impact you continue to have on our communities.

It’s been an honour to represent the people of Windsor Lake in the House of Assembly over the last four years.

I always enjoy the conversations with my constituents, and I look forward to the opportunity to continue to serve as their MHA.

It was a beautiful day for the Grand Falls - Windsor Labour Day Parade, and I was happy to join the celebrations.

Congratulations to Newfoundland and Labrador’s Thomas Pelley for securing our province’s 2nd medal at the Canada Games.

Thomas earned silver in the Men’s 100m Freestyle Special Olympics.

Thanks to the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Town of Torbay for the productive discussion. Hearing from communities about their priorities is important as we continue to build a stronger, more resilient Newfoundland and Labrador.

I’m pleased to have Mark Lamswood join the team. It’s clear he cares deeply about St. George’s-Humber, and I was glad to visit one of the beautiful communities in that district with him this week.

Great to spend some time in the beautiful district of Carbonear-Trinity-Bay de Verde with one of our newest team members, Danielle Doyle!

There is such a buzz throughout the region with so much to do and see. I’m confident Danielle will be a strong, passionate voice for the people in her district.

The cost for Marine Atlantic passengers is, in itself, a trade barrier and impacts the cost of living for Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.

I’ve written to Prime Minister Mark Carney, urging him to immediately follow through on his promise to cut costs for Marine Atlantic ferries.

The Special Olympics’ Provincial Summer Games are officially underway in the Town of Gander!

Congratulations to Deantha Edmunds, Canada’s first Inuk classical soprano, and Grammy-winning producer Greg Wells—both proudly from Newfoundland and Labrador—on being named to the Order of Canada. Your talent is both inspiring and admirable!

On July 1, we pause to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who served at Beaumont-Hamel and elsewhere — including the Unknown Soldier we welcomed home last year.

As we mark both Memorial Day and Canada Day, we reflect on our shared history and take pride in the province we’ve built together.

It was a busy day with Minister Scott Reid in scenic St. George’s - Humber. It was great to meet up with some of the district’s dedicated community members and hear about the good work they’re doing.

Newfoundland and Labrador is the envy of Canada because of our people, culture, and natural resources.

I look forward to continuing to use my experience and commitment to develop new opportunities and solve our challenges.

Always a pleasure to be in the Town of Gander and connect with community members who are making a real impact.

I met with council to talk about priorities for the Town, visited the new location of the Family Care Team clinic, and toured EVAS Air.

Had a great visit to the vibrant Town of Lewisporte with my colleague, MHA Derek Bennett.

Lewisporte is home to strong trades education and a growing business community. With a rising population and a new Family Care Team on the way, it’s clear this community is on the move.
