Kürt hareketlerinin anti-kolonyal dili ve eylemi olan dönemde Kürt çalışmaları diye bir alan yoktu (klasik Kürdolojiyi saymazsak). Bugün ise Kürt çalışmalarında bir anti-kolonyal dönüm yaşanırken Kürt hareketleri tamamen başka bir gerçeklik içinde bir yol bulmaya çalışıyor.

Calls for contributions should also be disseminated as broadly as possible among scholars working in the relevant thematic area. Such measures can democratize participation in knowledge production and strengthen the scholarly integrity of the field.

Nevertheless, the preparation of a handbook should not follow the same editorial logic as that of an edited volume. I believe that handbooks should be overseen by a scientific committee to ensure academic rigor and transparency in the editorial process.

In recent years, several thematic handbooks have been published within the field of Kurdish studies. This development constitutes an important indicator of the field’s growth, diversification, and increasing institutional recognition.
A new publication of mine is out in the Political and Legal Anthropology Review and it’s open access. Loved to write this essay for the special issue „Kurdistan(s): Repression, Resistance, and Fight for Survival“ edited by Adnan Çelik and Deniz Yonucu. Grateful we were allowed to chose the covers 🌹
