A majority of Americans oppose Trump's tariffs and 69% β including 52% of Republicans β say they've driven up costs.
Now, the Supreme Court says he lacked the authority to impose many of his tariffs under IEEPA.
One of the bright spots for me in this Congress has been the work weβve been able to do to protect Tribal sovereignty in the House Natural Resources Committee. Itβs our duty to make sure we are righting historic wrongs and upholding our treaty and trust responsibilities with Tribal governments.

Screenshot from a Moneywise that features the text: Finding a mutual way forward A December survey (11) by Navigator Research echoed many of the above concerns, though it did offer a possible way forward for the coexistence of data centers that will power the future of AI technology, and the communities in which they reside. The survey found that βan approach that protects consumers from both environmental consequences and higher costs associated with them is more appealing than one that solely aims to slow or stop the construction of data centers.β That approach, the report noted, would include βhigh-paying, union jobs and growth to local economies and tax revenueβ and assurances βthat tech companies pay their fair share instead of passing the costs onto consumers.β
ICYMI: Our December survey found Americans prefer a path forward on data centers that protects communities β not one that simply slows or stops construction.
That means prioritizing environmental safeguards, lower costs for consumers, and high-paying union jobs. π
