Brad Whitford too. Completely stacked.

Star Trek, history and book nerd. The order depends on the day of the week.
Brad Whitford too. Completely stacked.
12.11.2025 03:23 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs very very good. The book used is excellent so itβs not a surprise. Top notch casting helps too
12.11.2025 03:09 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Itβs really good. American history is wild. If you wrote parts of it as a fictional screenplay, even Netflix would say nah thatβs too fuckinβ crazy! Oh wait, that actually happened?? Go make a 4 episode miniseries.
12.11.2025 03:02 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Only reason I didnβt say Borg was to avoid spoilers lol
12.11.2025 02:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Really good. I kept waiting for Mulder and Scully to show up. Also great is the feeling of going from WTF am I watching? to ohhh I get it and yeah Iβm in
12.11.2025 02:40 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0True. By this time Kirk vs computer was a trope but this is actually a great episode that probably doesnβt get enough credit. William Marshall is fantastic throughout
12.11.2025 02:07 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0As a Dem voter in PA, this guy is a bitter disappointment. A wasted vote even. I hope he decides not to run for reelection. He will be primaried if he does not
12.11.2025 01:53 β π 11 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0True. They could easily do submarine battle in space without relying on Balance of Terror or Wrath of Khan (which was already mined for the second worst Star Trek film ever made) or anything else thatβs been done in the last 6 decades with Trek
08.11.2025 19:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Same. ROTJ is a flawed film. I know this and do not care. Itβs the first Star Wars I saw in theaters and I love it, warts and all
08.11.2025 19:17 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thatβs bc the creators desperately want a Star Trek Year One show and theyβve wanted it since S1 of SNW. Iβd prefer Goldsman stay far away from the script that will eventually land on movie screens. New ownership needs Star Trek to work.
08.11.2025 19:14 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Hereβs a great idea for the next Star Trek film. I hear Paramount is ditching the Chris Pine-led cast for a fresh take. Red October in space would work well. Hell, thereβs even an old episode to mine as well (Balance of Terror)
08.11.2025 19:01 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I stick with the first two. Force Awakens is a perfectly enjoyable Star Wars re-tread and TLJ is excellent at points and is the only Disney Skywalker movie to actually take some risks.
08.11.2025 18:54 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Arguably any one of the prequels is better than the Rise of Skywalker. The whole thing is a hot mess and itβs what happens when you want to make one of the movies in your trilogy completely irrelevant. Cowardly decisions were made throughout
08.11.2025 18:44 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That rancid grifting ancient bastard will never (legally) be on a national ballot again. Never as in forever not happening
05.11.2025 03:42 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Love this. I actually guffawed
05.11.2025 03:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Congratulations! Itβs canβt miss. Have always loved the BTS of Trek. Not BTS but I picked up Mr. Scottβs Guide to the Enterprise in β86, read it in a day and a half and Iβve been hooked since!
01.11.2025 18:40 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0@thepressbox.bsky.social Only in Journalism alert. Reading Every Day is Sunday by Ken Belson. Rupert Murdoch is βa bare-knuckled Australianβ re Fox swooping in to buy the NFC package in 1993. Great book so far
26.10.2025 17:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0How long would it take for him to comprehend trust but verify? Is he capable to? Highly doubtful
25.10.2025 23:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Also Iβve given up trying to tie this show in as a direct prequel to TOS. It just isnβt and trying to make it so was just upsetting me. Also, itβs so clear they want a Year One spinoff. Kirk gets too much focus too
19.10.2025 18:40 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Yeah. And I rarely watch Kimmel. Heβs funny but didnβt need to watch him all that often
18.09.2025 23:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah and usually I have no problem giving it all the leeway it wants bc I enjoy the actors a ton but there are times I bump on it. The amount of Kirk is another example. Akiva wants that ST: Year One show so bad, heβs begging for it in 6 of 10 episodes a season
31.08.2025 01:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah sheβs a bit of an acquired taste. What I keep bumping on is how this is supposed to be pre-TOS but it just isnβt. I love Chapel and Jess Bush in this show but sometimes the leap is too huge. And yes itβs unfair to compare this against a 60 yr old show but occasionally I canβt help it
31.08.2025 01:40 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The acting choices he made are strange and too robotic even for a Vulcan. Carol Kane is as always excellent and the the special guest star Vulcan is fantastic to see. Other than that, itβs an an extremely meh episode
31.08.2025 01:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0When he goes, itβll be on one of his shitty golf courses. Book it
30.08.2025 20:38 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0No real argument here. And the Children Shall Lead is much higher on my list. Worst episode of the show. Spockβs Brain is routinely named that but itβs miles better than Children
30.08.2025 17:21 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0Same method as with COVID. If we donβt test, the problem magically disappears. Now if we donβt release numbers, the economy will do well no matter what. Utter BS!
13.08.2025 13:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0True fact: This was the movie he did after plans to put him in Star Trek 4 (the one with the whales) fell through. Heβs a massive Trek fan
08.08.2025 23:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβm in. They so desperately want this show. Look how much Kirk is already in SNW. (No spoilers for S3, Iβm bingeing my way there now). A Quality of Mercy is basically a stealth TOS episode that really works for me
27.07.2025 15:47 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I didnβt have high hopes for the Section 31 movie but wow was it a jumbled mess of the various phases of its development
