None taken! I am doing my research before I go querying, and the market for “old school space opera with modern sensibilities” is _thin_. I have received some modest success in self publishing and web novels.

But trad? No publisher seems to be buying my genre currently. So it goes.

I mean, you can get into it about what LLMs do, how they work, where they fall down and why, but without getting super-technical: LLMs are only really "useful" where they're unnecessary.

I think this is a bit of a mask off moment for AI

it's been skating by on ignorance by most people of how it works, allowing them just enough deniable plausibility and doing the "it helps artists actually" dance that people's guilt over using it isn't enough to overpower the addictive convenience
