The students' posters reflected their hard work in diving right into climate modeling and receiving mentorship from scientists across broad areas of expertise. They presented alongside interns and protégés from NCAR, UCAR, UCAR Community Programs (UCP) + @cires.colorado.edu.

Isabella Lu, Sarah Ryu, Tony Manriquez, Subashree Venkatasubramanian, Sudhanshu Kumar and Akila Sampath spent the past 8 weeks at @ncar-ucar.bsky.social, conducting LEAP research with Linnia Hawkins, Da Fan, @djgagnedos.bsky.social, Katie Dagon, @mikepritchard.bsky.social, and Daniel Kennedy.

Professor Receives $1.78M Simons Foundation Grant to Launch Climate Data Science Research Group Viviana Acquaviva’s award will support graduate students and help shape a fast-evolving field at the intersection of AI and climate science.

Viviana joined LEAP 2yrs ago as a @simonsfoundation.org Pivot Fellow, launching from astrophysics into climate data science. She's been a vibrant part of the LEAP community, and we're so happy to keep journeying with her in climate data science!
