Apollo Fenix (Dick Jonas)

My new name has been carefully crafted and is deeply rooted in my identity. Apollo, announcing my own deification. Fenix, declaring my own resilience and relentless endurance. My last name, new to me, but reclamation of my dad's true family name, which was denied to me.

My birth name was never mine. My first name came from my bigoted maternal grandfathers name, my middle name I shared with my mother, and even my family name was given to my dad when he was adopted. I've never felt a connection to it. It never felt like me.
