Another exciting discovery from 2025! Though the half-black bumble bee is fairly common in other parts of the US, Missouri is at the southern extent of its range, so this is a rare find.

Training Webinar on the ecology and conservation of bumble bees. This event will take place over Zoom on Saturday, April 19th at 12pm PT/3pm ET. The 1.5hr event will provide knowledge needed to participate in the Bumble Bee Atlas program and discuss the life history of bumble bees, threats and conservation, and how to support these pollinators.
