I'm not familiar with DC, but I can tell the difference between depressed neighborhoods and the more manicured areas with cobblestones and cafes.
From the numerous clips I've seen, it's clear they have a different focus for each area.

My crazy idea for Dem governors: Deploy the Guard in your state in a community support and documentarian role. Unarmed. Casual duty dress, khakis and polos. Introduce themselves to residents, shake hands, assure them they are not there to be used against them. ...

A big difference between Putin and Trump is that it's pretty obvious Putin isn't even trying to pretend he believes the lies he's telling, but I'm not sure Trump doesn't believe everything he says and is living in a fantasy world. Doesn't make him any less dangerous, just in different ways.

I didn't know what a reconciliation package was or a blue slip or whether that crazy thing that just happened was actually "unprecedented" or if it had happened before (bc media/pols really like the word unprecedented and seem to use it even when it's not applicable).
