Grafiek met naar boven alle warmte records en naar beneden alle kouderecords per jaar voor min/max/gemiddelde temperatuur op dag x. Tot jaren zeventig hielden koude en warmte elkaar nog in evenwicht (rond de 15 ieder), vanaf dat moment zijn de warmterecords ruim in de meerderheid. In 2023 waren er 42 warmterecords gebroken en een koude record. In 2024 alleen 40 warmterecords en in 2025 alleen 24 warmterecords. 2026 tot nu toe 3 warmterecords.

Derde dag op rij hoogste gemiddelde temperatuur voor die datum sinds 1901 in De Bilt, NL. Drie warmterecords dit jaar. Laatste koude record is 1258 dagen geleden.

The daily global mean sea surface temperature is beginning to rise once again toward more anomalous value... will be keeping an eye on how this evolves in the coming months as La Niña quickly fades. 🌊
