🏆 Today we celebrated the winners of our prestigious Network Champion for German Award.

The individuals and organisations received the prizes for their exceptional efforts in promoting the German language in the UK.

Your work is essential for keeping the German language & culture alive and relevant in 🇬🇧 – not just in classrooms, but in all parts of society.

The Award is our way of expressing our gratitude and appreciation for your tireless efforts to connect people & ideas across borders.

With train punctuality at a record low and passenger frustration soaring, Germany's railways are looking to the UK for inspiration. They're introducing Britain's tea time alarm to help ease tempers & encourage passengers to unwind with a comforting cuppa while enjoying the view.

Für die Rücksendung der Wahlbriefe aus Großbritannien an die Wahlämter bietet die Deutsche Botschaft in London ausnahmsweise die Nutzung eines Sonderkuriers an. Alle bis zum 18. Februar eingegangenen Wahlbriefe werden nach Berlin an das Auswärtige Amt weitergeleitet. Von dort erfolgt die Versendung an die zuständigen Wahlämter.

Wie erhalte ich meine Wahlunterlagen? Um Ihre Wahlunterlagen in Großbritannien zu erhalten, müssen Sie sich in das Wählerverzeichnis der für Ihren letzten Wohnsitz in Deutschland zuständigen Gemeinde eintragen. Der Antrag muss bis zum 2. Februar 2025 eingehen. Weitere Informationen finden Sie hier: bundeswahlleiterin.de.

Wann sollte ich meinen Wahlbrief losschicken? Ihr Wahlbrief muss bis spätestens 23. Februar 2025 im Wahlbüro in Deutschland eintreffen. Wenn Sie den Sonderkurier der Botschaft nutzen, muss der Brief spätestens am 18. Februar 2025 bei der Botschaft London eingehen. Verschicken Sie Ihre Wahlunterlagen schnellstmöglich. Die Fristen sind knapp.

🗳️ Am 23. Februar finden die Wahlen zum Deutschen Bundestag statt.

📨 Die Deutsche Botschaft London bietet ausnahmsweise auch einen Sonderkurier für die Rücksendung der ausgefüllten Briefwahlunterlagen an.

German is the most in-demand foreign language for 🇬🇧 professionals. A study by City Lit shows that German is a requirement in over 25% of multilingual job ads in the UK.

Demand for multilingualism was particularly high in sectors like management, sales & technology.

Over 11 million Deutschlandtickets were sold.

This year, the price of Deutschland-Ticket will stay the same: €49/month.
