What if we treated sex ed like firearm safety training?
- we learn the different parts and functions
- emphasize safety
- no shame for knowing or wanting to operate a firearm
- we don’t send people out into the world with loaded firearms, no knowledge, and then act surprised when there is a crisis

I really admire how Bob and Linda Belcher (Bob’s Burgers) never seem to shame Tina about her evolving adolescent sexuality, and how often she develops crushes. Three cheers for sex-positive parenting!
