Tonight's painting was a bit experimental. I finished the winged Gorgon lady but I hate the sculpt so it's rubbish. The worked on Cecops using some new speed paint markers. I think they turned out pretty well.

Just to highlight, this isn't the narrow road I mentioned in my early message. It's a public footpath I go for a walk down.

The roads are a little wider and in a lot worse condition.

Working in a converted barn on an old farm may lack food options and the roads are narrow. But I'll take a homemade sarnie and this walk over a trip to pret in a busy street any day.

Also... Actual sun and blue sky. Feels good man.

Ah that doesn't look too bad. I can't complain about table space after playing Mythic Battles last night which expands to fill as much space as possible.

No time for #minipainting tonight as I was too busy playing with them. Or at least some of them were painted. Great Greek / Egyptian war tonight. Dominated by some big snakey boys.

At the slightest sniffle I will often cancel plans to wallow in bed. Tonight we get the rare chance to play Mythic Battles and I've already done the random draft. My leg could fall off but I'm still making it to that gaming table.

I can't help but love it. It's not the most nuanced of games, it can veer wildly from far too easy to impossibly hard. Strats tend to be "Get higher numbers to roll more dice to kill more baddies". But damn is it stupid stupid fun. The board game equivalent of a crate of beer and Smash Brothers.

Decent gaming sessions in Feb. Some big box games in there which are always a blast to get to the table. Massive Darkness 2 is a rare treat. Only the one frosthaven session though. Need to plug on with that.

Bought some at the weekend (a little starter pack thing) and only used the green so far on a snake dude. Seemed pretty good to use. Need to give them a bigger test but so far so good.

Well it's a great first attempt! A thousand times better than the abomination of a goblin I first did back during the pandemic.

FYI I'm not fond of the Iran regime either. So no tears shed over the Supreme Leaders death. But still, it's all a bit dodgy... right?

Two points about this.

1, So it is a war? Not tactical strikes or defensive actions. I'm a Brit so I don't know the details but isn't it against law to not get congressional approval for wars first?

Clear distinct colours. Easily identifiable details. The paint job is looking grand.

Only thing I'd add is a little something on the base. For a sea person you can do a light blue with a gloss varnish for a quick and easy water effect. Then this model would be absolutely:
