You're welcome! I did think this book was a bit less intense than some of her others that I've read, if that helps.

I think it depends on your definition of horror. There are some tense supernatural moments in this book, and what I'd consider mild spookiness but I didn't think it was "horror." 🤷‍♀️ But I also grew up reading Stephen King so ymmv. 😆

Jaws 3-D set at the Orlando Sea World. (Not quite where I grew up, but close enough.) I remember going on a school field trip as a kid during filming and parts of Sea World were closed off to the public. 4th grade me thought was pretty cool. 🦈

Witnessed a wholesome moment: young woman running for her bus stop, she's a block away & the bus blows by, she wails "NOOOOOOOOO!" 2 construction workers witness it, they yell & wave their arms for the bus to stop & the driver stopped for her! 1/2 Went into "get off my lawn!" mode yesterday when some feral neighbor kids smeared mud on my car RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. I was standing 15 feet away, yelled "HEY" & they scampered.

Day #1850 of online reselling, got my 1st ever return request. Buyer impulse-bought, didn't read the description or look at all pictures. He filed a phony "item not as described" complaint & the platform sided with them. I agreed to the return, don't want the hassle of the inevitable CC chargeback 🙄

Craving a piece of fresh-baked apple pie & a glass of apple cider like I used to get this time of year before I moved 1000 miles south. I don't miss much from living up north, but it was delicious & always made me feel seasonal and cozy in a way that fresh squeezed orange juice never has.

21 book covers from my October reads. Too many to describe, lots of great authors like John Scalzi, Lynn Painter, and Mhairi McFarlane. Say You'll Remember Me by Abby Jiminez made me ugly-cry, the main story line of caring for a parent with dementia hit a bit too close to home.
