03.12.2025 13:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0You're welcome! I did think this book was a bit less intense than some of her others that I've read, if that helps.
03.12.2025 04:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think it depends on your definition of horror. There are some tense supernatural moments in this book, and what I'd consider mild spookiness but I didn't think it was "horror." π€·ββοΈ But I also grew up reading Stephen King so ymmv. π

02.12.2025 19:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Snake-Eater by T. Kingfisher isn't quite what I expected based on her previous books, but I loved it so much! Quirky townspeople, a faithful doggo companion, & an unpredictable menagerie of desert spirits? Sign me up! Out now, go read it! #BookSky @tkingfisher.com www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

26.11.2025 19:13 β π 284 π 49 π¬ 16 π 10Happy pub day to All Superheroes Need Photo Ops by Elizabeth Stephens! Book 2 in her "Supers in the City" series, darker and edgier than the first one. Great fast-paced, spicy human-superhero (but is he though?) romance! Can't wait for the next one! #BookSky www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
25.11.2025 18:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Movie set where I grew up.
Jaws 3-D set at the Orlando Sea World. (Not quite where I grew up, but close enough.) I remember going on a school field trip as a kid during filming and parts of Sea World were closed off to the public. 4th grade me thought was pretty cool. π¦
This! Life's too short to spending it reading books you don't enjoy.
23.11.2025 01:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Witnessed a wholesome moment: young woman running for her bus stop, she's a block away & the bus blows by, she wails "NOOOOOOOOO!" 2 construction workers witness it, they yell & wave their arms for the bus to stop & the driver stopped for her! Went a tiny way towards restoring my faith in humanity β€οΈ
23.11.2025 01:28 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Secret Nights and Northern Lights by Megan Oliver, I was so excited about the book that I didn't proofread myself! #BookSky
20.11.2025 01:07 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Go pick up Megan Oliver's Secret Lights and Northern Lights, out now! 11.11.2025 21:53 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Happy pub day to Not You Again by Erin La Rosa! Great time loop romance with a slow burn opposites-attract relationship & enough humor to temper some of the heavier stuff. 11.11.2025 21:52 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Happy pub day to An Academic Affair by Jodi McAlister! Fake marriage turned real with plenty of banter and (some) pining in this sweet rivals-with-depth romance. I really love this author's voice! ππ #BookSky @jodimca.bsky.social www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
11.11.2025 21:44 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 12/2 Ages 6 & 4, two little girls, frequently out playing with no supervision in a traffic heavy neighborhood. I've been worried about their safety but I don't actually know where they live and honestly, they seem tougher than me πΆ
10.11.2025 17:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 01/2 Went into "get off my lawn!" mode yesterday when some feral neighbor kids smeared mud on my car RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. I was standing 15 feet away, yelled "HEY" & they scampered.
10.11.2025 17:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Day #1850 of online reselling, got my 1st ever return request. Buyer impulse-bought, didn't read the description or look at all pictures. 09.11.2025 01:57 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Craving a piece of fresh-baked apple pie & a glass of apple cider like I used to get this time of year before I moved 1000 miles south. I don't miss much from living up north, but it was delicious & always made me feel seasonal and cozy in a way that fresh squeezed orange juice never has.
07.11.2025 14:54 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 021 book covers from my October reads. Too many to describe, lots of great authors like John Scalzi, Lynn Painter, and Mhairi McFarlane. Say You'll Remember Me by Abby Jiminez made me ugly-cry, the main story line of caring for a parent with dementia hit a bit too close to home.
October reading wrap-up! Somehow I managed to read more books than September, despite October being especially chaotic. Mix of mostly digital ARCs & library books, with one physical library book from the stack I checked out earlier in the month. If you have a free library, use it! #BookSky ππ
