also in general i would never date a 24 year old. The life experiences are just too vast. We don't make the same moves and we don't make the same kind of mistakes. We don't have the same perspectives on life, it's too vast a gap at 32. Youngest I'll go is 4/5 years, so like 27/28

the amount of growth ive had just in the past couple years alone trumps the amount of growing i did in those 7 years, or even in the 8 years since! insanity.

i was hardcore groomed into becoming this totally dependent. emotionally stunted weirdo who lacked boundaries or purpose or healthy coping mechanisms of any kind. I felt like some big dumb kid because fr I just was.

thats just ME and who /I/ was at 24. I know a ton of 24 year olds with like college degrees, homes and wives and shit. Not me dude I was plucked from my family situation at 17 by a predator and set down a path of self destruction for about 7 years straight by the time i was 24

like just emotionally and mentally. nearly no real life experience, fresh off the heels of a traumatic loss, spiraling in grief and freshly diagnosed bipolar, I would simply not make that same decision.

and I'm not even an established adult yet still. Back then I was like, basically homeless and with no direction or prospects. I have a job and a roof now, but jesus christ dude, that person I was at 24 was a developmentally delayed child.

ok so now that im about the age of a person I dated when I was 24/25 and have more perspective on life, I would simply never date a 24 year old in the situation I was in at the time at this my big ass age of 32

SORRY IM HAVING SO MANY THOUGHTs, I tried writing about it but it's the kind of brain bursting "I NEED TO BE WITNESSED BY THE REST OF HUMANITY WHEN I SAY THIS" I am just SO fucking TIRED of being surrounded by people in their early 20s

which continuing on with this thought, I think I am 100% ok with my 20s having been a complete and total waste of time. so long as I can take all the shit that happened and learn from it, then it's time well wasted.

by now ive met or seen or known of enough people who are nearly or at or over 40 who are living a life that's fulfilling so I'm not afraid to spend my 30s attaining stability.

i have a 5 year plan but it can only start the moment I get back home to massachusetts

where the fuck in this fuck ass city are the other 30 something year old poor queer folks without kids who hate capital more than they wanna live comfortably in the system lmao. why is it literally just me and my partner?

anyway. got paid today, bills are paid for the month, paid back my siblings for helping out on rent a month ago, got enough left over to eat and get to work long enough to get paid in another 2 weeks and then pay rent with that.

im forever stuck in "entry level" reality. This is just a pit stop for the college kid, for me my car has broken down and im fucking stranded here.

but the difference between me, and other people my age, especially in this town, a college town, is that they're all young professionals by now, or have multiple kids or families, or are just rich kids who get to play pretend forever.

today I sat surrounded by these people and even though we're friendly, and I enjoy their company, I can't keep being stuck in this limbo of only knowing people who are like fucking 20+. I desperately want friends my age
