Save the date! Here are all the exciting events coming up this half term:

Reception would like to thank the school & FOES for the money spent on their Play builder equipment. They've loved using it in different ways including an obstacle course and building different types of vehicles. Here are some of the pictures they've captured over the term!

Year 3 have been very artistic continuing their learning on ‘Line’ and continuing to look at other prints by Hokusai (other than ‘The Great Wave’, focusing on the series of ‘Mount Fuji. They used polytile blocks that they'd previously made to print using rollers and printing ink.

Pre-School have been busy learning all about 'Seasons' and the changes that happen, specifically around Autumn. They've gotten very into the Autumnal spirit - take a look! 🍁

Reception have been busy reading ‘We’re Going On A Bear Hunt’. Last week they went on their own sensory walk, touching and describing the different settings. In Maths they've been learning about numbers 1-15 and how to make these numbers in different ways. Great work Reception!

Year 3 have been enjoying their unit on Hercules and have been acting out the story. They have used some great descriptive phrases to describe the Hydra and the Nemean Lion, focusing on using compound and complex sentences!

Pre-school have been very focused on their 'Owl Babies' book and last week painted some fantastic owls. They also painted their salt dough cakes from the previous week and made some clay owls too. A very creative week! 🖌️🎨

We are delighted to be able to invite parents and guardians into the school for an informal tour of our setting. The tour takes between 30 to 45 minutes. If you would like to come and visit on one of our open mornings, please contact the school office to book a time slot.

Buddy time is a big hit! Year 6 and Reception have been enjoying stories, games, and spending time together at break and lunch!

Year 5 have had a brilliant start to the year! This term, they began their music lessons by learning to play brass instruments- an experience they have thoroughly enjoyed.

Year 2 have had a busy first few weeks back at school. In Art we have been inspired by Kandinsky and created our own pieces of art using primary colours and then mixing these to make secondary colours.

Year 1 have had an absolutely incredible start to the year! They have blown us away with how well they have adapted to new routines and lessons and have all been working so hard - here's what they've been up to!

To end a year of phenomenal sporting success and participation, we took part in District Athletics on Monday. the team we took were an absolute credit to the school with lots of top 3 finishes and a 4 place overall which is amazing!

Well done to all those who took part!

The finalists of the 2025 Annual Speech Competition! The judges had a hard time deliberated over a winner, but in the end Caelan’s humour and ability to relate to the audience sealed the deal!

Year 5 had an amazing trip to the Science Museum! Take a look at what they got up to:

In Art, Year 2 have been busy creating different parts of the class mural including weaving, printing and watercolour painting.

Reception have been had a very busy few weeks! In Art, they have created their own 3D sculptures inspired by the artist Miro - very creative!

Pre-School had a fabulous time on Sports Day - take a look at what they got up to!

Last week was the Sports Day for Pre-School! They were phenomenal! We hope that all the parents and families had a great time and thank you once again to all the Pre-School staff and Mr Howe for a superbly organised event

FOEStival is happening this Saturday! A brilliant afternoon organised by FOES, raising valuable funds for our school. We’d love to see as many families and friends there as possible!

Another brilliant day with the Art & Music Exhibition! The children’s artwork looked fantastic across the school. Huge thanks to all who came, and to Mrs Day and Mrs Rundle for bringing it all together!

School Sports Day was a huge success! Despite the heat, the children were brilliant, and the support across year groups was inspiring. Huge thanks to Mr Howe and Miss Lyons for organising such a joyful event!

Our Year 6 buddy system plays a key role in helping Reception children settle into school life. From supporting daily routines to accompanying them on their first trips, the initiative helps to build a strong sense of community across all years in our school. Look at some of this year's buddies!
