You can’t name a famous rock band with a shitty drummer. You don’t need a great drummer, you just need one who knows the assignment: be the driving force of the band — set the pace, keep the motor running, and punctuate the turns.

This album was the perfect antidote to JT, which felt like the moment we lost U2 as an alt/post-punk band to jock rock. Then they went to Germany and remembered they’re European punks and not American cowboys, which is how we like them.
