WE WERE ALL CRYING. I went with my sister, sister in law, brother and three twenty something Salvadoran young adults. All (bar one) a full blooded, full throated Latino cabrón. And we call cried. It was nice to be around all of that Latino energy.

I cried it was just such Latino mess I loved it. Bad bunny was that good. I went with my early-twenty-something nephews and one of them said to me: I feel really seen after that.

It was just do JOYOUS. It was joyous and fun and festive and Latino.

What a show. What a GREAT SHOW. It was the biggest gathering of latinos outside latinolandia I have seen

A full dragon boat mixed crew in darling harbour. Ya boy, Yours Truly, is sitting third from the back on the right.

Ya boy did his first race! It was exhilarating but I also just fucked it on my first two attempts. By the third I got the hang of it. I’m going to be doing this again. And again and again.

Yours Truly rocking the orange club jersey. Orange is a very good colour. Anyway, there I am in my little orange hat, holding a paddle in Darlings Harbour in between boat races. I am smirking but it’s because I have no idea what I’m doing this is my first race and I am doing ok. I also have that nervousness I used to have at school sporting carnivals but it’s fun here.
