If one is unbanked it follows that you are likely not technically sophisticated or affluent enough to own BTC. To be truly progressive we’d need training programs, opportunities to own it, such as IRS refund options, 401k contribution options, more progressive tax laws, etc.

Yeah, it’s confusing. Trump has been very clear he wants USD to remain the world’s reserve currency. But the BTC Standard aims to replace it. I don’t think he really understands the tech or its ethos. But the people he’s surrounding himself with do. I think he’s just a useful idiot.

If someone were to ask Trump that question he would say it’s because he’s so awesome. But BTC would have likely gone up the same even if Harris was elected because it behaves in very predictable ways based on a roughly four year halving cycle that correlates with presidential elections.
