“Pure fictional trash that clearly painted me in a rather negative light. Louis de Pointe du Lac. Such a sad tragic figure. In his own mind anyway. Always did have a penchant for the sad and dramatic. Perhaps that’s why my music is all inspired by him.”

“Perhaps you know my lover. He once wrote a book of pure indulgence and such melancholy heartbreak. It was billed as vampire fiction.“

He snorts out a rather inelegant laugh. -

It was a gift though when he was a boy he often felt it a curse.

“My lover, my heart. He has been my muse but also my source of my greatest frustrations. He…”

Huh. Lestat sat back, a new thought forming in his mind. -

In an abrupt shift of mood, Lestat went from charming & excited to serious & all business.

“How do we begin? What do I need to do to begin? What do you need from me?”

He tossed back his drink as if it were mere water, his mind already swirling with ideas for songs, lyrics and melodies. -

Our time among mortals is limited before they start to question our eternal youth. I want to have them worship at my feet in the time I have among them.”

Being who he was, Lestat had no shame about admitting his desires. His ego and pride demanded greatness of him. -

Oh he could imagine it alright. The lights, the screams of adulation, the worship of legions of fans screaming his name.

“I don’t just want to be a legend. I want to be a god. Yes we are eternal but even we have to eventually hide our true natures. -

“As much as I’m sure many would be thrilled to see me perform, I have my sights set on something different. Something bigger than the theater. As for Louis…”

There he stops. He doesn’t even know what to say in regards to his fledgling and former lover. Perhaps it’s best to say nothing at all.

He gives a nod and a slight grin.

“Santiago. I’m surprised to see you here.”

//Fingers crossed. Hope things get resolved soon but never any rush or stress. Real life is always priority.

//Yikes! I hope you feel better soon.

A wide grin crosses his face as he thinks of all he could do with fame. He would be eternal. He rather liked that idea.

“It was fate for us to meet yes? I often find myself at odds with fate but I do believe she has finally done something right.”

Either way, my singing comes from a place of passion. I want that passion to be felt by everyone. I want them to see me and to desire. Humans long for what they cannot have. I AM that forbidden fruit.” -

His mood shifts again and he casually leans back, his carefree smirk back in place as if his outburst had not happened.

“Or perhaps his most recent ex-lover is there watching me. Seething with rage and hatred because he could never take my place no matter how hard he tried. -

“My music. It means something to me. When I sing, I don’t sing to the audience Ciro. I sing to HIM. Because each night I find myself wondering if he’s hiding in the shadows watching me. Observing me. Missing me as I miss him.” -

He becomes empassioned as he speaks. His drink and the soft sounds of singing forgotten as Lestat wipes all amusement from his face and is instead replaced with an intensity seldom seen in him. -

“I want more. I don’t want applause Ciro. I want echoes. I want the echo of my music to still be heard long after the music has stopped. I am ambitious yes but I also know my worth.” -

//I find myself suddenly parched for a good drink. As always, take your time. There is no rush.

//Take all the time you need. There’s never any rush.

As the singing begins, Lestat sighs and speaks in a low voice, low enough for only Ciro to hear.

“I want to be more than a rockstar. I want to be a legend.”

They may not fully realize or understand what we are but they often ignore their own common sense around us. Their minds tell them to flee but their own desires keep them around. Basically they fear us but also desire us. They’re so predictable.” -

As he settles in and the drinks and hookah appear, Lestat takes a sip and finally fully relaxes.

“Quelle merveille! This is exquisite. Now to answer your question, I think humans have this instinct regarding us. They both fear us while also want to follow us and be part of our world. -

An on again, off again relationship is what I believe people call it. We’re currently off.”

Still, he smiles. Louis can never stay away for too long and neither can Lestat. Sooner or later they always find each other again. -

“I have the most wondrous creation. He is…everything. Wonderfully melancholy but also has this ability to see me and understand the very heart of me. Unfortunately we are also very much like oil and vinegar. We seem to be at odds just as often as we are together. -

Lestat sat gracefully and looked around, enjoying the slight humming on his skin. Whispered magic and promises of pleasures untold. He feels he owes Ciro a bit of an explanation for his cryptic comments about Louis. After all, Ciro was indulging and helping him along this new unchartered path. -

He knew of Curt. Had even admired him and Brian Slade when they played together. How fascinating that Curt would come to his shows. At the knock on his dressing room door, Lestat smiled.

“Come in.”

After the show, he commanded his manager to fetch the musician in question. He carefully arranged himself while he waited for his guest.

Curt Wild -

He was used to other musicians and talent coming to his shows and admiring him or envying him. He reveled in their stares. But one stare in particular caught his attention. -

The night was exactly what Lestat had imagined it would be. Screaming fans adoring his every move. They were all practically worshipping him at his own personal altar of entertainment. How he loved the adulation but that wasn’t what had caught his attention. -

//Hello friends! Replies will be out today. I’ve had a lot of stuff going on with my personal life and had a last minute out of town trip but I’m back and things should finally be calmer.
