I'm kinda ambivalent/borderline over Universes Beyond at this point but I really dislike the art treatments on cards that are just screengrabs from the media they're from. It was bad with the FF set and some of the ones from Avatar look awful. It's jarring because so much of the sets' art is good!

If you want some good aesthetic pieces to fight fascism with maybe don't utilize the technology pushed by people in bed with fascists and instead buy some art from the marginalized communities affected by both the fascists and the tech bros enabling them, idk, seems like a more consistent approach.

There's a lot of shit I did tolerate back then that I would not now and I'm not going to pretend I was some perfect bastion of good taste but come the fuck on. Let's not pretend there aren't and weren't social consequences for this shit back in the day.

As someone who was a very edgy teenager, no, it is not and was not normal or expected to talk about how much you loved Hitler or make gas chamber/rape jokes.

Game really went from King of Puppets/Romeo which is one of my favorite fights in a Souls game in some time, to Victor, a nice and fun palette cleanser boss, to an absolute dogwater fight and then a reskin of the first boss that I first tried.

DLC areas are great. Bosses less so, so far.

Lies of P has some of the best Souls combat I've ever played but I am nearing the end of the base game and trying the DLC, and there is a noticeable fall-off in boss quality after Victor. Really hoping it rallies and that the DLC bosses specifically start being more fun, on the second and it sucks

First game was v solid and I'm looking forward to the second one. Indie survival horror fans been eating good recently.

I have never felt more vindicated about Game Pass than I do now.

One of the things I really appreciate about this game is how it establishes and builds on the dynamics between Hinako and her friends, especially Shu. It's constantly engaging in character work that makes it really feel like they've known each other forever that makes it hit so much harder.

Silent Hill f is absolutely stellar so far.

Like a lot of people, the combat is not my favorite though it gets better once you start to pick up on its nuances. But the game took an absolutely WILD turn last night in terms of plot and mechanics at about the 6 hour mark that has me fiending to play.

Top 5 Survival Horror game for me, definitely worth your time and cash.

Not to be overly combative, but Silent Hill f is absolutely a Silent Hill game, as long as your understanding of the series goes deeper than “American Town“ and “rusted metal + chains”

Anyway it's 2025 and I'm still in the "Anders did nothing wrong" camp and the mismanagement of Dragon Age as a franchise still makes me very sad.

Like you have this whole mage/templar war and the man who started it is gone, but there's a villain from a DLC I didn't play who's suddenly a bigger deal now. And we're sidestepping all the intrigue for another big flashy "save the world" adventure. So much wasted potential.

Anders being almost completely removed from the post Dragon Age 2 games in the series and my interest in the latter games nosediving isn't a coincidence the more I think about it.

Inquisition's plot just... fails to grab me in any way aside from its companions and Corypheus is a huge part of that.

I've had this exact experience where I didn't realize someone who I went to high school with was attending a LARP I played until I saw him on NPC without any costuming.

You know what? There are stupid questions and some people who are "just asking questions" should be shamed for asking stupid questions.

We don't have to entertain every bad idea someone entrenched in an institution has.
