I've imagined since lucifer can shape shift and thus swap genders if he'd do the same for Lilith sometimes for fun or she can do it herself. Not sure male Lilith would sound like Terry crews but probably not the weirdest idea.

They think she hates religion because the show isn't "biblically accurate" enough with how this hell and some of the beings are and she made it this way to dunk on it. That at least seems to be one of their headcanons for hating anyway.
