Aww Congratulations! As a parent who also knows the pain of not being able to go on a date night with her spouse, you and your wife are our hero’s!

Last date night for us was Prometheus, yep! June 2012 😂 Gotta laugh to keep from crying! Our daughter was 7 months old, she’s about to turn 14!

This is a state thing so it’s not affected by the assholes in Congress who shut down while they still get paid! 🤬

I even tried to walk into the office the EDD website lists for disability/paid family leave claims and they told me that it’s not for paid family leave claims, admits the EDD website lists misinformation and cannot tell me the office where to go because they couldn’t guarantee they would help me!

Clearly it’s been passed 14 days so EDD should have it! I personally uploaded it to their website as well on the 20th in case the mailed one didn’t make it, but EDD still uses the excuse of taking 14 days to receive the uploaded ones! 🤬

Update: We have 2 and a half hours to come up with $50.00 to secure our room and the parking for the day. I am so sick of this situation, checked EDD this morning and they still haven’t received the medical certification my doctors office supposedly mailed out to them the week of October 10th 🤬

URGENT We have less than two hours to come up with $200 to secure us for Saturday or we have to leave. With us on the fifth floor of a motel whose elevator broke last night, checking out in a hurry with two sick kids will be a nightmare. Please help us if you can. Thank you 🙏

As of 2230hours , we have 11 hours left to raise $250 to secure Saturday night which is the most expensive night of the week. With the elevator out and us on the top floor the prospect of leaving in a hurry is dreadful. We know everyone is exhausted helping us but we still need help thank you.

So my last paycheck was 09/24, paid weekly so all of our savings went poof! Can’t fill my medicines much less get my kids Halloween costumes 😭

It takes 14 days for EDD to receive and acknowledge mailed forms they requested! Because now I don’t trust my doctors office, I uploaded them too! Yep still 14 day acknowledgment for uploads! The office has done nothing but give me the run around as to who their can submit the effing certification!

Maybe this isn’t the right app for this but I’ve hit my breaking point mentally. My life has been thrown upside down and inside out since August! I’m on FMLA and filed for paid caregiver leave dating back to Sept 23rd and I am STILL waiting on EDD to receive the mailed doctor certification!!!

Well, hell, they haven’t needed them since they bent the knee! Might as well ✂️👀😂
