I had to ditch all of the cases from my hundreds of DVDs and went from many boxes in the loft to just one. Space is a huge problem, but I’ll never get over physical media to embrace digital. It is vastly inferior as an all round experience, but sometimes you just have to go for it. Choice is key.

I was once at work in a hotel on Great North Run weekend. Lots of runners were in house. On the Saturday night we lost water and couldn’t restore it on the Sunday. None of the runners could get showered.
I was screamed at for hours until I snapped and threw a guest out.
Today was like that.

I know he could be prickly- that was part of the thrill of a Lou Reed interview-but there’s one that Lauren Laverne (from my hometown- love her) did with him on a ‘The Culture Show’ special c2007 where she has him eating out of her hand. He loves her and it’s a joy. Worth seeing if you can find it.

Bombing tankers in the straight of Hormuz will raise the price of everything as the global price of oil will shoot up. I have no doubt it’s a motivation. I used to believe this sort of thinking to be conspiratorial, but now I’m convinced that thinking they work for us is the bonkers thought.
