What Radical Acceptance Is — And Isn’t Radical acceptance means accepting difficult situations as they are and can be a critical step in moving on from adversity.

My therapist spoke with me today about "radical acceptance" as a coping mechanism. Easier said than done, but I'm trying to be open to the idea.

I saw her open for Frightened Rabbit in 2016 right before her first album came out. Not only was she great, but her parents had come up to Baltimore from Virginia to watch her. It was absolutely adorable!

On this day, I probably shouldn't have listened to Hamilton on the drive home. It's hard to drive through tears.

But I'm choosing to remember a beautiful time not that long ago when we had a President who would support and help create art and beauty.
