It has been a fascinating and rewarding experience! #research

The dataset comprises mainly coordination compounds with organic ligands, as well as various organic molecules, including natural product derivatives.

Milestone: my 200th deposited crystal structure is now in the CCDC @ccdc.cam.ac.uk (first one in 2012 CCDC 870175, latest today CCDC 2483173). Over the past 13 years, the database has almost tripled in size - adding 1.6 million entries! π§΅π

I hope you enjoyed my little #tiling voyage a few weeks ago π Now you can admire some of the protagonists in this contribution to @iucrj.iucr.org Newsletter, along with some thoughts inspired by me being an irredeemable #PatternSeeker βοΈ

"In 2019, at the ECM in Vienna [...] a crystallographer in the audience improvised a concise speech thanking George for the contribution in his programs, which was unanimously backed by a standing ovation."
I was present there and vividly remember this moment.
