This is supposed to be a similar shot where its a close up of the queen walking up to take her throne...
but instead I got this.

same model. same style of prompt, only difference was time.

VEO3 really sucks now.... I don't know if there was an update but something is going on.
This was a piece of reference footage i created a month ago.
It's rich, it has slight movements, it looks like a scene from a movie...

I like to watch The Simpsons in the background when I'm relaxing for background noise but i spend 5-10 minutes picking the first episode to watch... So i made a website that loops through the first 9 Seasons continuously. #theSimpsons

I’ve noticed people are struggling to tell when an image is AI generated; this can’t continue.

This image is AI generated, you can tell because it’s got that horrible orangey colour palette, the girls hand isn’t touching the ground and the boys foot blends with the floor.

I think we will always disagree on this point as I can see you are a Product Manager and I am an Engineer!

But I will say for your point on engineers understanding context;

you can't teach AI something that it wasn't trained on.

you can always give AI more context.

S-shaped curve for uptake of innovations

there is a sigmoid curve to innovation where you have a rapid growth phase followed by a slowed or decline phase.

I was using smartphones as an analogy; They had an incredible growth phase in the 2010's but now true innovation really doesn't happen

we will see this AI too

are you okay with "good enough"? You are correct that most SME will think like this but I want you to think about what that means;
would you trust a SMM company that uses AI for promotions on insta and facebook?

to the extreme: would you trust a vibe coded surgical robot for a heart transplant?

no

26.06.2025 13:11 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

also; what happens when senior engineers retire if all the Juniors and mid's have been fired? you seem to be putting all your eggs in the basket of "AI will catchup" but the phone in your pocket which has had the same design for the past 8 years with minor improvements will tell you otherwise.

26.06.2025 13:05 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

It's actually the opposite.

The trend is that smaller dev teams are doing the roles of designers and product managers to bridge the gap between requirements and those teams are able to build and ship at a faster rate.

Also the term "stay relevant" is in really poor taste, and I'm guessing you didn't mean it.

Imagine telling an artist that they need to "stay relevant" because AI can create photos in that art style.

Their art is still important. They are still relevant. Human's don't become obsolete.

Software engineering as an industry was already democratized because of strong open source communities and freedom of information.
AI and LLM's are making the software industry feudalistic by charging entry fee's for information.

Damn, that’s a killing blow for AI reasoning models… I suspected they were just adding more context, turns out there is no difference with higher complexities Apple Research
