'Our societal bias that exercise can only ever heal, never harm, is incredibly pervasive. It is playing out right now in how we understand and discuss #LongCovid, and as we have done in relation to #MEcfs for decades.'
May be one of main reasons why no further in finding a cure for those conditions

This is where it gets silly. You don't need to pay "advisors" (millions no doubt), you just need to walk into the board meeting with a team of senior civil servants and say "Right, you lot, piss off."

Greetings from
the #ME Chapter of the
"We Do Not Care Club"

A woman is sitting in a chair with a checklist of things we do not care about

She’s saying β€œThis week we DO NOT CARE about the careers/ research funding/job losses/ disgrace/or knighthoods-that-have-to-be-returned. of any psychiatrist or psychologist who based their career on telling sick and dying people with #ME that they were making it up.

In the bottom right hand corner is a wise cat wearing glasses. She’s saying β€œAnd if you think this is directed at you - it probably is!”

As the fallout from the #DecodeME project continues - and still no apology has been forthcoming from the BPSM monsters - I’m taking the battle right into those psych departments and professional bodies. Maybe tomorrow I’ll lampoon the self-justifications we’re just beginning to see too!

Deleting old emails and photos from the cloud would help to save water during heatwaves and droughts. Emails and photographs kept online are stored in data centres that require vast amounts of energy and water to cool their servers and avoid overheating

Reading the @decodemestudy.bsky.social results something lifted which I hadn't realised I'd been carrying over the decades of being a #pwME, some unkindness towards myself, guilt & a sense of failure for not having recovered
#ME became more tangible & sensation & experience met data

For so long we’ve been told to listen to people’s β€œlegitimate concerns” and that we shouldn’t dismiss them as thick or uneducated but everything they’re doing is proving that that’s exactly what they are.

I don’t want to be governed by vibes. I want to be governed by data, and I want the methods which generated that data to be peer-reviewed so aggressively that bias is recognized and mitigated.

I want to do nothing *but* trust experts, so I can spend my time as an expert in my own tiny field.

One of the many things one comes to discover in exploring the social history of the 17th of 18th centuries (and probably of most ages) is that sexual predation *was* relentless, & many men of every class treated women appallingly, & encouraged each other to do so.

In the burial register of Lymington, Hants, there is the following entry: "12, August, 1722. This fore-noon the body of Samuel Baldwin, late inhabitant of this parish, was conveyed in a vessel off to sea, and was committed to the deep off the Needle Rocks, near the Isle of Wight." "This appears to have been done," says a Hampshire paper, "in accordance with the wish of the deceased, to prevent his wife from dancing over his grave, which she threatened to do."

These kids were already approved months before the new rules came in, they are supposed to be left alone.

The NHS is threatening the clinic that they must remove treatment.

They've already forced one pro-trans Dr out.

As asylum seekers are engulfed by slurs and lies, our leaders shrug. Truly, this is shameful | Frances Ryan The narrative that they are a threat to women and girls has no basis in fact, but bad actors peddle it, and ministers encourage them, says Guardian columnist Frances Ryan

As the anti-migrant protests continue, stoked by politicians, the media and far right, there’s a toxic lie taking hold: asylum seekers are a danger to British women and girls.Β

You may have heard that since this August, 2025, the Pope's soldiers of the #SwissGuard are allowed to have sun pavilions to protect them from the sun for the first time.

Well, here are two Swiss Guards standing next to a sun pavillion, near the Pope, on an image printed in 1700.

The knee jerk reaction to a few idiots spraying paint into a jet engine intake has been called out for what it is.

The protesters should all have tee shirts printed with "Plasticine Action" with a picture of Morph just like this guy. Would the government be forced to ban plasticine and Morph?
