Delivery platforms are fuelling fears against their own workforce, promoting the idea that your delivery worker may be undocumented and worthy of suspicion. This only makes workers more vulnerable to harassment and violence.
13.03.2025 12:21 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Recent mass firings by Deliveroo and Uber Eats are nothing more than theatre to launder their image while they treat workers as disposable and collude with government in racist assumptions.

Inadequate Human Review into ADM โ
While continuing to deny the use of automated decision making to fire workers, Uber allege this constitutes an adequate and meaningful human review...
Rampant Robo-firing โ
Deliveroo fire a worker for taking too long on his journeys. The data shows just 3 flagged rides clearly suggesting a termination trigger was activated. The human review fails to pick up that for 1 ride, the worker arrived at the restaurant within seconds.

An Employment Tribunal found that Bolt were applying a โdriver score metricโ to impose a prioritised system of work allocation to favour higher-scoring drivers.
