FYI, if you’re here when it’s warmer, the Heron Rookery is just north of here on a couple of islands in the river. It’s viewable from Marshall Terrace park.

It was an open grate bottom truss bridge. Your car slid all over the road and it looked like you were tipsy while driving. I like the new bridge A LOT more.

My fave bridge in town. The previous bridge was my childhood bridge. I crossed that thing hundreds of times.

A solitary white yak grazes quietly beneath the vast Himalayas, its heavy coat glowing against golden autumn trees and the immense sweep of snowy peaks rising in dramatic contrast behind it.

A close-up of a Stripe-throated Hermit hummingbird hovering in mid-air, feeding from a vertical stalk of bright red tubular flowers. The bird has brownish plumage, a distinct dark mask across its eyes, and long central tail feathers. The background is a soft, out-of-focus green.

This is one of the Stripe-throated Hermit #hummingbirds that lives in the forest near my office. It comes out regularly to enjoy some nectar and then zips back into the dark.
