Is it possible for AI to become conscious in the far future when it integrates with the quantum field and beyond? I think probably yes (my current view).

But the real fun is when we are sitting around the fire and diving into the mysteries of each other and the universe, experiencing everything the system offers.

It's the whole premise of automatic and recursive self-improvement that AGI will inevitably have.
We are going to look back and laugh, once we are there. What were we thinking haha :)
It's strange to me seeing so many posts about this or that industry losing jobs to AI. That is temporary. Soon, every job will be lost, even the job of managing the AI. Max 100 years.
I don't understand why we aren't spending lots of time discussing what we're going to spend time doing as individuals and groups "post AGI", which could be within 5 years, or within 20 years, but definitely within 50 years (my lifetime).

What we have been striving for all along.
Post AGI, nobody is going to need to work.
The whole goal of technology is to solve the worlds problems. This means solving *every* problem. Including the need to work itself. At least the *need* to work to survive.
We need to solve the core philosophical problems. As a community.
