Python foundation said no and rejected the grant.

from my own experience I'd say take the gamble

one of my most enduring projects has taken me nearly a decade of planning with the first segment to hopefully be finished by this years end

even if you contemplate other concepts in the mean time, I'd still say always hold onto them all no matter what
